Seeing Change Through Compassion
Welcome to Thru The Eyes Of The Community, a beacon of hope and support for domestic violence
survivors and those facing homelessness. Founded in 2023 by a passionate mother-daughter duo, Lakiesha Orr & Patricia Taylor, our organization is driven by a shared commitment to break the chains of violence and offer a helping hand to those in need.
Our Mission
The mission of Thru The Eyes of the Community is to provide a safe haven and comprehensive support through a blend of services for adults and children impacted by domestic violence and homelessness, while increasing awareness to help build a stronger, more supportive community.
Vision
Our vision is to end domestic violence and homelessness, where every individual can live free from fear, with a stable home.
Our Holistic Approach
Our approach prioritizes immediate safety, followed by coordinated support services tailored to individual needs. Legal advocacy, counseling, skill development, and community partnerships work together to ensure our programs remain responsive, effective, and focused on long-term healing and housing stability.
