Welcome to Thru The Eyes Of The Community, a beacon of hope and support for domestic violence survivors and those facing homelessness. Founded in 2023 by a passionate mother-daughter duo, Lakiesha Orr & Patricia Taylor, our organization is driven by a shared commitment to break the chains of violence and offer a helping hand to those in need.
Our Story
Lakiesha R. Orr & Patricia Taylor started Thru The Eyes of The Community with a deep-seated belief that everyone deserves a life free from fear and a place to call home. Drawing from personal experiences and a genuine desire to make a difference, they embarked on a journey to create a haven for survivors and individuals grappling with homelessness.
Our Mission
It is to provide a haven and comprehensive support through a blend of services, for adults and children impacted by domestic violence and homelessness, as well as to increase awareness in order to create a supportive community.
Vision
Our vision is to end domestic violence and homelessness so that every individual can live free from fear with a stable home.
